首先在到 www.Redhat.com 下载 redhat 的 iso 文件，刻录成光盘，一共3张。 copyright Linuxren.net

刻盘完毕后按如下步骤安装：

1. 使用第一张光盘，从光驱引导启动系统。
2. 启动第一步进入一个启动界面，有boot：提示符，直接回车（enter）。
3. 然后进入redhat第一步，这里无任何选择，在右下角有next按钮，next。
4. 进入语言选择，有各种语言，选择english，next。
5. 进入键盘设置，默认设置即可，next。
6. 鼠标设置，也是默认设置即可，next。
7. 安装选择installation TYPE，选择custom，next。
8. 硬盘分区，使用Have the installer automatically partition for you，自动分区，next。
9. 自动分区引导，选择Remove all partition on this system，其他默认，next。
10. 上一步next后会弹出警报，选择yes。
11. Disk setup全部默认。
12. Boot loader configuration，选择use lilo as the boot loader，next。
13. network configuration，取消configure using DHCP，然后在底下填入IP等信息。 本文来自Linuxren.net

netmask：子网掩码
Network broadcast：可不填
hostname：oracle.dvtnet.com

14. firewall configuration

选择medium
底下是customize
trusted devices：etho
allow incoming：选中ssh.、www.、mail、ftp
other ports：1521
（由于是服务器，所以可以考虑不使用firewall）

15. additional language support

在列表中找到chinese （P.R. of china）也可以不选。

16. time zone，根据当地情况选择。
17. accout confoguration，在这里设置root密码，然后add一个普通用户。
18. Authentication configuration，全部默认。
19. package group selection Linuxren.net

选择：classic X window system、
X window system、
KDE、network support、
Messaging and web tools、
SQL database 、web server、
DNS Name Server
其他都不选。

20. Graphical interface（X）configuration默认
21. about install，点击next，然后开始了系统安装。
22. 文件安装结束进入boot Disk Creation，选择skip boot disk creation。
23. monitor configuration默认。
24. coustomize graphics configuration默认。
25. 安装完成，exit。
